Anyone got the OTA on their Nexus 7 2012 yet?
I have a 5, 7 and a 10, all of which are rooted, but no updates as yet.
My wife's N5 has received the update, but hers isn't rooted.
Looks like it might have to be a manual update.
TIA.

I received the 4.4.3 OTA for my Nexus 10 this morning and yes you will lose root. Also, I read on Android Authority that Google released the OTA for the Nexus 7 2012 today as well. I am still waiting on my Nexus 7 2013, even though the OTA has been released. All of the OTA's are available on XDA, if you want to go the manual route.

I'm trying to be patient, too. After all, it's just an operating system upgrade, not a big box of candy.

I manually updated my Nexus 5 and 10 today, but can't find the OTA update for my Nexus 7 2012 wifi yet - found the 3G OTA.

I just pulled down the factory image and flashed system through fastboot. I then booted into twrp and wiped cache and dalvik. No major issues, though I had a mystery freeze this morning.

I received the 4.4.3 OTA for my Nexus 7 2013 today and the install failed on my Rooted tablet. At this point you will find that checking for updates will result in your system is up to date, even though you are still on 4.2.2. Rather than use the manual method, I elected to use WugFresh's toolkit, and will have to say that if you want an easy upgrade option if the OTA fails on your rooted tablet, that this is the way to go. This Link-Click Here (http://nexus5.wonderhowto.com/how-to/update-your-rooted-nexus-android-4-4-3-without-losing-any-data-0155334/) will provide a good guide for any Nexus device.

I never received the OTAs, so I downloaded the Nexus 5&10 OTAs from XDA and flashed them via TWRP.
Before reboot, I flashed the SuperSU ZIP via TWRP as well. Both completed OK and I was updated. I did take a Titanium backup before I started and copied it to my PC in case the update failed, in which case it would have been a wipe, root and restore.
I'm still trying to find the OTA for my Nexus 7 2012 wifi.

2013 updated, waiting on 2012. Not seeing any candy.

We may have to wait for 4.5 to see the candy.

Yeah, bug fixes aren't as appetizing.

Received the N7 2013 OTA today. It upgraded OK to 4.4.3 but lost root. I used Skipsoft toolkit to install CWM recovery, copied v. 1.99 SuperSU upgrade zip file to my N7, and installed SuperSU via the zip file with CWM. I used Skipsot toolkit to install Busybox, and I'm rooted again. Sill waiting for the OTA for my N7 2012.
Skipsoft hung repeatedly gong out of the Bootloader into ADB insecure image when I tried using its automated root procedure for 4.4.0. That's why I had to root my N7 2013 semi-manually.

Finally got the OTA update for my Nexus 7 2012 today.
Flashed it via TWRP.
Flashed SuperSU at the same time.
All updated and working fine.

Thanks for the info
I will download it and If I can gather enough courage, I will update my N7 to 4.4.3
Got in a lot of troubles last time when I tried to upgrade to 4.4.2

I have Nexus 7 (2012) with 4.4.2 firmware . Can I just sideload the latest 4.4.4 image directly without having to load 4.4.3 first ?

Yes.

Thanks, just did it and it works nicely. Have to re-root it though

Glad to hear it went smoothly. You're more capable than you give yourself credit for.
