I saw a demo clip of the Nexus answering questions verbally, I could hear "her" answer the question. Not just a viewable answer. Is this a "app" that needs to be added, or do I need to find the setting on my Nexus?? :o

You're probably talking about Google Voice Search.
See this: http://www.google.com/insidesearch/features/voicesearch/index-chrome.html (http://www.google.com/insidesearch/features/voicesearch/index-chrome.html)

Yup, That's it !! thanks ;D

It's like Siri, only cool. :D

Doesn't work very well though, keeps mistaking words :(
Doesn't speak the answer back unless it's asked very specific questions.

Open up Google Now ( swipe up from the bottom). You'll end up in ....Google Now ... a search bar with a microphone to the right. Hit the settings menu ( 3 vertical squares) on the bottom right. You may have to scroll up a bit.
Make sure you have the correct language chosen here. Makes a big difference to how accurate it recognises your voice. English (US ) was shite, but once I'd change to English (Australia), then recognition was much better.
Do note thought that you can't use the "Detect Hot Word" i.e. say "Google" to activate unless you've got it set to English(US). No biggie, but confused the *&(k out of my for a while :)

Hi Limbot.
I have ENGLISH (UK) set up, but it still has problems, perhaps it's my voice :o
For example, I ask it to find IMDB but it hears INDD !!

My hubby and I sat around one evening composing sample email messages by voice with hilarious results (after seriously trying out the voice input & getting interesting word combinations). I may mumble, but hubby speaks very clearly, and "Pete" came out "feet" and "crafty" came out "crappy" and so on. It was actually a lot of fun.

Voice recognition seems to work better on my S3.
