Title: Any way to download Youtube videos to the tablet?
Post by: DoctorOHM on September 26, 2012, 11:13:43 PM
I know there are tricks w/Firefox and other browsers that let you do this, and programs for IE also, that let you download direct to your computer.

Anything for Android? I haven't tried it on a tablet Firefox browser to see if it will work.

I believe it is against Google terms of service to d/l YouTube videos. That being said I am not sure if there is an app developed that you can side load but it looked like everything in the store won't work.

TubeMate use to be available on Google Play Store but has since been removed, if you have Amazon app store search for "TubeMate" and you'll find it and several others.
If you don't have/use Amazon app store then either use Google to search "TubeMate" or "YouTube video downloaded Android", there are a few but TubeMate will probably be one of the first hits you get.
Alternatively search Rolle Tube, it's an older YouTube that's been modded to include a download option.

Ahhhhh...you know I forgot about theYahoo/Google connection.

Thank you all for the suggestions, I'll research them shortly.

How do I avoid the problem oa being "caught"? How do avoid repercussions from Google?
I'm not sure what the difference it makes being able to view the video offline' as I don't have Wi fi at home.
