Droid life is reporting that an LG nexus phone may be out this month and that it'll launch with 4.2. If true I would expect the Nexus 7 to be updated to 4.2 around the same time yes?

Is KLP supposed to be more of an upgrade than JB?

I don't believe it will be a major update. But we'll see.

It's only an Android 4 iteration so nothing huge, like the difference between ICS and JB.
There are rumors but they're only rumors at the moment, I believe there's talk of an updated Google Play hub incorporating Apps, Movies, Music, Books etc into a more streamlined and users friendly hub.
There's also talk of a Launcher overhaul.
Google it, there's also lots of talk about the new Nexus phone, the LG Optimus G Nexus.
