Title: Thanks From Newbie....
Post by: tfman on October 10, 2012, 07:51:01 AM
Bought a Nexus 7 on 26th September. Perfect timing to get all the 25p Apps.

Just wanted to thank the forum that I did not have to ask all the hundred or so
boring familiarization questions that one normally does with a new device. The answers
were all here with a quick browse through the pages.

Delighted with the Nexus 7. Cannot believe how responsive the touchscreen is and the seamless
integration between the apps. As a disabled person with very limited grip this and the low weight
are vital to me. The device is on a lanyard round my neck and with me 24 hours a day and the
notifications and audible alerts suddenly have so much more meaning.

Magical !

Welcome aboard tf.  How did you attach the lanyard to the n7?

Thanks very much the welcomes and interest.

To answer the Lanyard question - The same day I bought the N7, after viewing these pages I bought two cases,
a TPU gel one and a Wake / Sleep function one. Both have cut outs at the bottom at the speaker location and this
is close enough to the bottom edge for the loop on my Lanyard to loop around to the connector cut out hole. All perfectly
central, stable and protected. So two cases both with Lanyards, spoilt for choice.

Thanks.  So often the solution is so simple that it isn't obvious.
