Anyone know the purpose of the four electrical contacts at the bottom-left edge of the case? 
Some sort of future docking station?

Those are the 'pogo pins' which will be used with a dock and possibly other accessories.  It's been discussed in the forum before.  Here's an article about the dock which hasn't been released yet.   We might see it during Google's 'Special Event' which was supposed to be Monday but they've had to reschedule due to the Hurricane in NY.
