Title: Good clock/weather widget for the 7?
Post by: TG1 on November 02, 2012, 10:05:58 AM
I'm not happy with Beautiful Widgets or Fancy Widgets so far on the 7. Any good ones that are tablet optimized?

HD Widgets has hi-def packs as well as the tablet formatted widgets. Looks great and highly customizable.

I'm testing Animated Weather Clock.  It looks good, but I want to see if my battery life drops with it installed.  I've also used 3D flip clock and weather, but the weather screen is s bit limited.   Animated Weather has a slider so you can see how the weather will change.  I 3D weather only shows the current forecast.

I use HD occasionally but there still seems to be a bug that shaves off the bottom of my date in landscape. I am not sure if it's the Nexus or the widget as to why that the problem occurs. It isn't horrible. It's just there.

I think it's 4.1.2. I saw it when the other thread mentioned the clock cut-off.  Then I flashed Paranoid Android, and the problem went away.  I am running HD Widgets.

I downloaded eWeather HD from Amazon when I found it for free Tuesday.  Love it!  I told a coworker about it later that day but when he checked it was no longer free.  It is one I would definitely be willing to pay for,

Seems to be fixed now. Not sure if latest release fixed it or its JB 4.20.

What version of HD WIDGETS you running? I'm on 3.5.4.

Maybe because I haven't made mine transparent?

I figured it out. I think I was screwing it up by having other icons on my desktop and not stretching it out. I am good now but don't really have room for all my homepage clutter. This new version of Jellybean might be the answer to that.

So I wonder if the OP ever found a weather widget that he/she liked??

The tablet formated widgets for HD Widgets require two horizontal rows. When it is placed on the screen it is sized to one row. The widget must be resized to appear in proper format. If you leave it as is, it will appear cutoff. The widget drawer will specify what size each widget requires.
