Title: Running Jellybean 4.1.1 on Kindle Fire
Post by: samalex on July 11, 2012, 01:12:51 PM
NICE!  Droid Life is reporting (http://www.droid-life.com/2012/07/11/android-4-1-1-jelly-bean-ported-to-amazons-kindle-fire/) that XDA has ported Jellybean 4.1.1 to the Kindle Fire.  According to the post on XDA (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1765288) it's still very beta with lots of things still in works, but if they can get Jellybean 4.1.1 to work reliably on the Kindle Fire then WOW is all I can say.

I'm definitely keeping my eye on this...

Update: Techcrunch is now reporting this (http://techcrunch.com/2012/07/11/amazons-kindle-fire-gets-a-taste-of-jelly-bean-thanks-to-beta-rom/) as well with a video.

Update 2: And Liliputing has posted (http://liliputing.com/2012/07/how-to-install-android-4-1-jelly-bean-on-the-kindle-fire.html) a how-to to get your Kindle Fire upgraded to Jellybean.
