Hello everyone, new 32Gb Nexus 7 owner here. Looking forward to some great info and tips. :)

Congrats on the purchase Tsarli! Nice to get the new 32GB N7! Did you buy it online or at a retail store?

Welcome from another Bay Area N7 (8gb) owner. I've got mine rooted and up to 40gb now :).

Which Bay area? There are several in Calif. I'm from the SF Bay area myself.

Yeah, you're right. But I was born & raised in the SF Bay Area (Vallejo) and I always thought of the 'Bay Area' as being SF and the surrounding counties 'til I met folks here on the central coast that talk about the Monterey area as the 'bay area'. Or maybe some down south think of San Diego as the bay area... For me, from Northern Calif., there's only one Bay Area.

Hi Babyfacemagee! Interesting story...
Originally got the 16GB version online from Walmart and picked it up from their store in American Canyon. Unfortunately the unit had defective volume buttons so I had to return it.
Here's where things took a turn for the annoying: Walmart still sells the 16Gb for $249 in-store. Since I bought the defective unit online, the only way their store would replace it is if I paid their store price of $249. Scr*w that! Like it's my fault I ended with a defective unit. OfficeMax only had the 32Gb. I got that instead. :-)

Defective volume buttons. That is not as common as some of the other issues. Did your volume work with the touch screen?
-
Yes, volume adjustment worked fine on the touch screen. The defect wasn't immediately apparent when I inspected the unit at the store, everything worked fine then. The buttons started acting up the next day.
