Title: Nexus 7 not booting?

Before you go panicking  :o, try holding down the start button for 20 seconds or more. Could not get mine to start no matter how long I charged it for. I Googled the issue  and discovered that you sometimes need to press the start button for much longer.

So being a totally British gadget addicted female, what do you guys know about the various skins available for Droids? I am new to the OS as I have only had iOS systems before. I like the look of a few of them but they seem to be for Droid phones. Will they scale up for a N7 or just turn into nasty old pixels? Also can you also point me in the direction of a good intro to droid devices. I need to skill up. :D

I think you are referring to what we call "themes." Themes are usually ROM specific. With most ROMs being specific to only a couple devices, the theme will most likely work well if it is designed four that ROM. Otherwise, it won't work at all. For starters, themes are usually only applied to custom ROMs.  So I would start by doing research on what theme you like and what ROM it is for, specific to the N7.

On another note, it might be a good idea for us to start a thread on themes where we can post screenshots to share.

If SW is referring to the look and feel of the desktop, she may be asking about varying from the stock launcher and using one like "Nova Lsuncher" and then selecting a free or purchased theme, which gives you a modified look.
