After a long wait the Nexus 7 is finally going on sale in India starting today. The Google and Asus 7 inch tablet that is now selling close to a million units per month will sell in numerous electronic stores throughout the nation for a MSRP of Rs 19,990 for the 16GB model, the only model currently for sale in India. Now the Rs 19,990 price is a bit more than the comparable price of $199 in the U.S. and elsewhere but it does compare favorably with another competing tablet available in India, the Galaxy Tab 2 which it bests in performance due to its Tegra 3 processor. With almost a billion people...and a huge and fast growing Android following it'll be very interesting to see what kind of success the Nexus 7 has there.
