We knew that U.S. buyers of the Nexus 7 16GB just before the price drop wouldn't be left out in the cold. It seems that Google has updated their 'Price Protection' for devices on Google Play to reflect the recent price drop of the 16GB model of the Nexus 7. If you purchased your tablet within 15 days (so on or after October 14th) the price reduction you're eligible to receive a refund of $50. The refund will be processed withint 14 days. Now there's no mention of the 8GB version of the N7 and now that we think of it, the 8GB version was actually out of stock for a week or so before the price reductions as well as intro of 32GB model were made so there shouldn't be too many people affected in that camp. At least it looks like 16GB buyers will be taken care of which is nice to see. You can find out more as well as file for the refund at the link below.
