Title: Recent Update - Now lost Orientation etc
Post by: andy203 on November 15, 2012, 03:48:22 AM
Hi,
My Nexus & did and auto update yesterday when I turned it on, now I have lost Orientation, the Clock is just a circle with one hand etc, Can anyone shed any light on what's happened. I also had the screen locked and with PIN access this appears when I turn it on except it is a lot larger and I have lost the OK button to press when I have inserted the PIN.
Suggestions help required please.
Regards
Andy

Have you checked settings to see if orientation is turned on?

As for not having an ok button, that I'm not sure about??

If you can't sort it, it may be a bad installation or something is fouling your settings, it's harsh but a factory data reset maybe your best option...

Be sure to backup your device first!

Andy, this has happened to me and I'm really unhappy with Google Nexus.

I have seen no value in the upgrade just a poor set up as you described and I have lost my orientation lock icon.

I hope they sort this with another upgrade pronto.

Let me know if you manage to sort.

Did you check the right side pull down menu? I think it might be there.

Andy, I went into Clock and changed the look to digital and back and its OK.

The OK button on the start up screen has been replaced with the naff return symbol that's all.

I also played with the very right slide down and got the orientation lock etc working.

Panic over for me.
