Xcom Global, a leading provider of low cost wireless internet access for international travelers that don't want to fork over a mortgage worth of roaming charges when leaving their local area has announced that they will be offering both the Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 Tablets for rent with an introductory rate as low as $1/day.

"Google's Nexus tablets are the perfect size for international travel," said Seiji Nishimura, founder and CEO, XCom Global, Inc. "What we have found many people still find traveling with their laptops cumbersome, and yet their smartphone cannot replace the functionality and ease of use that a larger device provides. They may not want to purchase a tablet because their other devices fit their everyday needs, so our low cost rental is the perfect solution."

The Xcom international service can be a boon for travelers who need/want to stay in touch abroad.  They have service in 175 different countries and for a fee provide a Wi-Fi hotspot that you can then use to stay in touch 'on the cheap' wherever you go.   You can add a Nexus 7 or Nexus 10 to your Wi-Fi hotspot rental for only $2/day for the N7 and $3/day for the N10...but for this introductory period the prices are $1/day and $2/day respectively.  Up to five different devices can use the hotspots simultaneously further saving you cash.  In a nutshell...if you need to have internet access internationally and you'd rather have a lightweight tablet than a laptop, this sounds like a pretty good deal.
