Its not swype, but it functions very similar. It was leaked out a couple weeks ago. I've been running it on my RAZR MAXX and both my N7's since then. If you currently use swype, it takes some adjusting. I would definitely recommend giving it a spin.

Swypesque. Can you change the color of the keyboard?

Not that I'm aware of.

I think I might put Swype back on my N7, the stock gesture keyboard has some issues. I swipe a word and despite my finger remaining in contract with the screen I either only get the first letter or one now and again...

Might be you as I'm not having a problem :)

Just entered this using SWIPE motion.

I kept swype until the update.  I had there leaked apk that I gave a test run. It gets some getting used to if you come from swype, but I like it.

I agree. I think it will take some time to get used to the "personality" of the keyboard and for Google to respond to the consumer feedback with an update.

A couple quick tips:

- long press space bar to change keyboard or access settings.

-swype across all suggested words to bring up the list of all suggested words.

- double letters are entered automatically.

I gather that there is a new keyboard (Swipe-like) with JB4.2
I've been using SwiftKey (for tablets) with great satisfaction.
How is new Swipe-keyboard better, different?

You can't swipe with swift key can you? Swift key lags for me sometimes. This so far is good. I don't like the color scheme but oh well function trumps looks.
