Title: Benefits / Problems with JB4.2?
Post by: gp123 on November 16, 2012, 03:12:53 PM
Currently running 4.1.2 on N7 without any problems.
Just received notification that 4.s is ready to download and update.
Before I do this, was wondering what if users have seen any real benefits (better performance?) aside from some new (advertised) features?
Any problems (some reported Apps not working) observed?

Chrome browser is quicker. Had to resign in to amazon appstore-have old programs which require it.
Still testing...................

Amazon appstore requires logging in to use purchased programs from that site. It no longer stays memory resident, leave it minimized for off line use for those apps. Until android wipes that memory.

I bought a lot of stuff from there on older non google certified tabs, wish I could switch them to play without repurchasing. Hopefully they'll update, unless this is deliberate google saboutage.

Contact the developer of the app. They might work something out for you.

Tried that before when amazon updates were snafu and had no luck. Prob 20 apps to convert to google servers. Or rebuy.
