Title: Can't install a ROM?
Post by: TacoLord187 on November 17, 2012, 04:23:47 PM
So I finally picked up a N7 today. Got home, unlocked, rooted, and flashed a custom recovery to it. Downloaded AOKP, wiped my system and cache, and tried to flash it and the gapps. Clicked reboot, and the boot animation comes on but never goes past it. I let it sit for about 15min with no change. I have tried this in TWRP and clockwork touch.

I REALLY want to get AOKP on it. Help please?

EDIT: It booted now. I went back to TWRP and did a factory reset in TWRP, didnt wipe the system, installed again, and....booted.

Same thing happened to me when I flashed my first custom ROM.  It's a good idea to do a factory data reset, wipe cache, data, and Dalvik cache before flashing to a vastly different ROM.

Yup, same here when I first flashed Paranoid Android. I didn't want to do a factory reset because of the bug that wiped the internal memory but custom recoveries have a workaround to stop this happening.
