i bought / downloaded rip tide but it goes to the 'tap to start' screen and gets stuck there

I bought it ages ago but don't currently have it on my N7, you running Android 4.2 because it could be that?
Give me a few minutes and I'll test it...

Works OK on both my Nexus 7 and Nexus 10.

I'm running JB 4.2.1.

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling?

Good call CBers, I tried it too and works fine on my Nexus 7 4.2.1 so as CBers says try uninstalling and reinstalling...
