Title: Gmail App
Post by: ivan on December 07, 2012, 01:12:53 PM
Hi all,

Just got my N7 today.

Just wondering, how do I hide certain labels in the Gmail app? For instance, I want to get rid of "Priority Inbox, Starred, Important, All Mail and chat".

I also have a filter label (called work email), how do I move that to the top?
ie everything that comes from my work email is @uwo.ca, so I have a work filter.
I want this Label under the Inbox label, so I can see both my personal email inbox and work inbox at the same time.

If not, what is a better email client on android?

Thanks!

First off, welcome to the forum ivan. I am not sure of the integration that you seek, but I control Exchange, Imap, and pop email accounts from Enhanced Email from Google Play https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.qs.enhancedemail (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.qs.enhancedemail).  You have an inbox for each account and a combined inbox and it may allow the level of control you seek.

Thanks for the reply.  Unfortunately 10 dollars is a bit too steep of a price to pay to get rid of these extra weird inboxes.  I'm surprised you can't "hide" them like you can in the browser based gmail.  Guess I'll have to live with it  :(

Can you use the browser? Set a homepage or shortcut right to Gmail? Not sure about mobile..Will that help?

Might give that a try. I think it's weird how the browser version and app have different features.
