Title: I lost my desktop websites
Post by: greybeard on December 10, 2012, 01:41:14 PM
When I find my favorite websites, I saved them in the "Desktop" folder.  Did not know how to remove some of the sites, I thought I'd just drag the folder to the "remove" "X"
at the top. Their gone now, but so is my folder.  I've tried to put them in a NEW folder that I created,  but that folder appears nowhere.  It it gone, or hidden somewhere?
Or is there another way to save favorite websites??   I'm Old but learning!   :-[

Go to your desktop pc and under chrome settings you need to login to chrome. That will re sync your settings with chrome on the Nexus 7.

If you click the star icon next to the URL in the Chrome browser app it will give you the option to save the website into your favorites for safekeeping.

OK,  - - I,m a newbie, but learning.  How do I find my chrome "desktop"?   I created a folder , gave it a title, added some sites,
&  - - - it's GONE!  I'm pretty good on my PC, but learning curve on my Nexus is slow.   I'll keep looking for my desktop settings.   :-[

Please try and follow my above post. It directs you how to save bookmarks from here on down the road on your Nexus using the Google Chrome Browser application. It is the green, yellow ,red and blue Circle icon.
I think Comisky is referring to the Chrome browser on your Personal Computer not your Nexus. If you follow his directions it should sync the two devices.

I am a little confused when you say the desktop folder? Which folder are you referring too? I don't have any folders on my desktop. I have app combinations, I guess they actually are technically folders but they look like a circle with few app icons in them.
