When I tried to use the toolkit for a nandroid backup...I received a backup failed..."unable to locate secure partition"...any ideas?
-
Which toolkit? Have you ever made a successful backup in the past? Can you in the meantime make a Nandroid in recovery and transfer it to the PC?

wugfresh...yes I made a backup when I first unlocked and rooted...just tried recovery mode with teamwin and got "unable to mount '/usb-otg' "... "unable to locate android secure partition"
-
What is the deal with the ON THE GO? I take it you are rooted? Have you messed with partitions in anyway?

I do have OTA rootkeeper enabled...don't know that matters though

I would flash the newest version of twrp and see what happens

I may be missing something and pardon me if I am, but wugfresh creates the backup on your PC, so if you are looking for it with TWRP, it will not find it. So, to restore the wugfresh backup, connect the Nexus 7 to your PC and open the ToolKit and it will see the backup you created. If you want a TWRP nandroid backup, you will need to create it from TWRP, and the backup will reside on your tablet.

Live and learn...I was checking too many boxes on the backup list...as soon as I left sd and android secure boxes unchecked the backup went smoothly...Many thanks for your help guys!

You are correct...I was trying to make a copy on my computer but the folder kept coming up empty...all is good now...Thank you!

I thought there was an actual backup failed message. I am a little confused but sounds like all is well. Cool.
I read something about both of the mentioned errors and they pointed in the direction of TWRP.

Yes there was a backup failed message on the N7 screen but it was due to clicking too many check boxes on the toolkit...as soon as I unchecked android secure and sd partition all ran smoothly...Thank you!
