I ve seen multiple iPad mini,Kindle, and Nook ads on television lately, and not a single Nexus 7 ad. Any one have a clue as to why there seems to be
minimal advertising for the Nexus 7??

I've seen ads here in the UK, not many but I have seen them...

My guess is that while Google is doing some advertising on traditional media like television, they are putting most of their advertising on the web. I see tons of Nexus 7 ads on web pages and it would make sense for them to do this since it is extremely cost effective for them to use their own ad network of adsense/adwords ads which is the largest ad network on the web. Google ads are on virtually every web page you see on the internet...they even provide the ads on this forum. I see Nexus 7 ads popping up on most tech related websites I go to. Now I agree some more presence on television would be good for exposure, but I guess they're figuring the audience they're going for is a web-based one so that's their target audience.

I can't see ads period. I thought this was a thread about the same issue. I have however seen many ads on the PC for the Nexus and I could have swore I saw some TV stuff as well.
Where are you located if I may ask? I'm in Philly.

I have seen ads on the television, far and few between.....

As an Australian, the only TV ads I've ever seen relating to tablets are for the Microsoft Surface (Best. Ad. Ever.) And the iPad Mini.
Would like to see what Google did though. To YouTube!!

Have you seen an ad about a father and son camping? Or a mother reading a book about Curious George in space. If you have then you saw a Nexus 7 ad.

I've seen both Nexus 7 ads here on American tv both in New York and Los Angeles. Here's two front page articles I wrote when they were released:

Google also has had the Nexus 7 on the front search page of Google.com a couple of times advertising the tablet...and we may see this again before Xmas. Here's an article also about that.

Whether these ads are being shown internationally I don't know. I also don't know how heavily they are being played here in the U.S. but I definitely do see them from time to time. Again, I think they are relying heavily on internet advertising since it is cheap for them to run it on their own Google ad network.

Wait... the father and son camping one.... I'd totally forgotten about that one! I think that was on TV...

Most TV I watch is pre-recorded so I don't have to watch the ads. When I see the Nexus commercials in fast forward, I rewind just to watch 'em.

+1 lol
EDIT: Both the above mentioned ads play here in the UK but I've seen the Amazon Kindle HD and Microsoft surface ads much more than the Google ones...

I was at our local shopping mall, and noticed a Nexus in three sizes ad. It was on the backside of the mall directory, the side that faces the seating area in the food court. There was simply no better, bigger, more obvious advertising space.
Well done Google...Well done.
