Title: Play Music
Post by: JayJ on December 20, 2012, 09:54:32 PM
Okay so have queries about Play Music...

1st. I have three tracks on there I have not bought not uploaded?

Good Old War - Come Back As Rain
Black Sun Empire - From the shadows
Fytch; Captain Crunch; Carmen Forbes - Raindrops

Where did they come from?

2nd. My N7 was offline a little while ago (Mi-Fi battery dead) but I had music available and it's not been pinned. How?

3rd. I keep getting these playlists, I've not created them? Can I get rid of them? Can I stop them from appearing?

Thanks guys.

I'm surprised jayj.

1. Its free music the Google gives you.

2. As you store music it is temporarily cached and will remain available offline for awhile.

3. Yes Google has to preset playlists and I'm not sure but I think you can only delete them from a computer like music tracks.

Why surprised sarge, I've only recently started using Play Music because other players like N7 Player and Power Amp had more features. I'm only using Play Music now that Google have finally let UK Android users upload music and so as not to fill my N7 & N4's internal memory...

1. It's carp, I don't want it...

2. I had a feeling that was the answer.

3. More carp I don't want...

Thanks sarge! Thumbs up for ya too...

I was wondering how music I never downloaded or pinned is available offline as well.  Where is it located? I saw one of those handpicked playlists the other day and was like whaaaa?

Thanks, I try but I'm also wise enough to know I don't know everything and there is always more to learn... lol

Yeah I thought it was...

storage/emulated/0/Android/data/com.google.android.music/files

But it's empty??

There's also a cache under the same file path as data but but that's empty too...

It doesn't stay cached forever.  It automatically clears out after so long.
