Title: Another hello from Oz

Hi,
My N7 32GB is in the mail so I'm learning as much as I can in advance of receiving it!
I'm primarily aiming to use my N7 for astronomy, specifically with Sky Safari and Skyeye for  'push to' guidance of my telescope; hopefully it will be successful and therefore save a lot of money on commercial systems.
I also do a lot of walking so the GPS feature with Google maps (offline) and other mapping apps will be useful.
I'm anticipating that I will learn an awful lot form everyone on this forum.
Here's hoping we all have a very productive 2013 !

Welcome Chrispy!   I use my N7 with Google Sky Map and love it.  I think you'll be our resident astronomy expert here on the forum before long!

Hello mate,

I have a thread on my astronomy-optimized Nexus 7 somewhere on this site. I have red navigation bar buttons & a red keyboard to use with Sky Safari. I run it on my 8gb N7.

I've done some southern sky astronomy in SA, NSW, & Peru.

I'm not the lowest of the low, but I am the slowest of the slow (49.6 mpg over 38k miles in  Scion xB)
