Title: OK - time for my latest dumb question
Post by: Paul_TT on December 26, 2012, 04:11:29 AM
 :(
Well the late middle aged idiot strikes again.
Question is no doubt simple to explain. Across the top of my home page above the grey google banner is a long series of boxes with >,M thombtack and movie symbols in these boxes.

Whe I drag down from these I get a long lost of the things I have ne , tings I have bought and downloaded etc. How do I get rid of that long list of suymbols or is it supposedto be there?

All the best for 2013 to the forum contributors and helpers Paul

That's your pull-down notification next to your status bar. Drag down to open it up. You will see a 3 bar icon. Tap the icon to clear the status bar.

I'm not the lowest of the low, but I am the slowest of the slow. 49.6 mpg avg for 38k miles in non-hybrid Scion xB

Also when you tap these notifications they will activate said application, so if they're from installing an app from Google Play you can tap them to start the application. If they're Google Play app updates tap to open Google Play to update said applications, if they're a movie, book or magazine they will open that application so the content can be viewed. Obviously email and Gmail notifications open that application to view your emails and any of these notifications can be removed from the notification pulldown singularly too by swiping that particular notification to the left or right.
