Title: Phone to Tablet
Post by: Eduardo420 on December 27, 2012, 01:59:14 PM
Somebody Help! so I just got my Google Nexus 7 and I can't find an app that can receive the text messages that I get on my phone (HTC One S). Does anybody know of an app that can do this? I have the 32GB WiFi and Mobile Data model.

If you have a Wi-Fi only Nexus 7 then try Tablet Talk (available from Google Play), you need the app on both devices. The phone and Nexus 7 are connected via a network or via Bluetooth and SMS messages are sent from the phone to the tablet via a nice UI.

If you have a wifi only Nexus, how are you going to retreive your messages on mobile data? You could set up a Google voice number and have all your texts sent there instead of the phone.  My brother has been using a google voice number for years. He doesn't even remember the actual phone number anymore.

I see, I misunderstood.  Well, have you tried Go SMS or Google Voice sms? Those two seem to be the most popular among this forum.

I use Google Voice. Works great. Get a free number on the Google voice site and connect it with your cell number or not. I use a seperate number. Might have to use a PC to sign up. . Go one step further with GrooveIP and make phone calls as well.
