Title: Nexus Photo backup
Post by: Iwan on December 30, 2012, 09:56:09 AM
Hi - I'm new to the Nexus 7.
We recently had to restore factory settings as the Nexus was in a Boot Loop and the only way out was to restore factory settings.
All apps were automatically restored but no photos.
As I understand it,everything is backed up to the Google Cloud?
Can I view it's contents?
how do I know something has backed up?
How can I access the Google cloud independantly?
Thanks in advance.

Photos you take on your nexus 7 are stored locally. They do not automatically get moved to an external storage area unless you setup something like Google drive to automatically upload your photos.

Normally pictures are stored in the DCIM folder but don't quote me on that.

Popdevil is correct, apps like Dropbox and Jottacloud auto upload pictures and photos to the cloud. Google+ auto uploads too so if you've used it and haven't change the settings they could be on Google+...
