Title: N7 will not turn on. Need help.

 Need some advice. My N7 has been trouble free but last night after charging all day I tried to turn it on and even with holding the button down for 20 plus seconds no luck. Nothing. Black screen.  :( I checked the charger by connecting to my Razr Maxx and it is charging fine. Any ideas on what is wrong?

30 seconds is the recommended time but whether that will fix the issue I have no idea, I think there's another fix to do with plugging into a PC...

It is a long shot, but it can be an issue where the brightness is turned down. Take the Nexus into bright sunlight or either shine a flashlight on the screen to see if you can get to settings and turn up the brightness.

I had mne do that had to hold down power button like a minute or more to get it to come on

Try plugging into the computer. Hold the button down for as long as feasible. Maybe 40 seconds until she starts. On a side note do you see a charging graphic when plugged in?

In my experience, you can perform a hard reset on the Nexus by holding ALL buttons for 15 to 30 seconds. You should see the screen blink, then try to power it on.

If that doesn't work, you can try ADB commands. Let us know.

I tried holding down my power button till it switches off. Then reboot like normal and it works great from then on. Can't understand the charging issue though.

Thanks for all your suggestions. I was able to get it to come back to life with the 30+ second hold on the power button. The longest I had tried was around 20 to 30 seconds with no luck, but the longer hold worked. Very strange issue. Hopefully they will come up for a fix with this issue. Have many experienced it?

I was hopeful that a longer hold would do the trick. Yes. This is a pretty common issue. The Nexus goes into what I have read called a deep sleep and just needs a little prodding to get it woken up.  Glad you are up and running.
