Hi

I am new to the ndroid world. Seems interesting. At least my Nexus 7 is quite a toy to explore! i am discovering new ways this tablet can show news videos, etc. and it's great

I also want to explore what is 'under the hood' but have not quite an app to assist here. I would not be comfortable trying to learn how to root my device but was hoping to get a clearer view of the contents inside

Ok thanks for having this forum. It's a great idea and a service to me and I am sure, others as well.

Welcome to the forum Billy. Rooting is not as scary as it sounds and carries minimal risk in comparison to a carrier skinned phone. As for what is under the hood of your Nexus 7 search the forum using the keyword, "teardown"  and you will find plenty of topics and discussion.
