By clearing cache & history, I'm assuming you mean the browser?

Open Chrome, tap the three dots top right and select settings and then privacy. At the top you'll see "Clear browsing data", tap to choose what you want to clear.

To remove widgets, long press and drag to the X at the top of the screen.

I use History Eraser - simple, works great !

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mobi.infolife.eraser&feature=nav_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDMsIm1vYmkuaW5mb2xpZmUuZXJhc2VyIl0.

Try the suggested method on widgets but I find it easy enough to either ignore them or uninstall the apps that added them in the 1st place......

Touch and hold on the widgets until they move and drag them to the trash can icon

Hi, Bigtroutz,

Thanks for the recommendation re: History Eraser; I was not familiar with this app. I installed the app but didn't see anything regarding widgets. Am I not looking in the right place? Any help showing me the way would be much appreciated.

Cheers,

I believe that widgets need to be removed manually like suggested above.

Yes, that was meant to be two methods -- one for each of your questions --- use the app for cache and history and the second sentence for widgets
