Title: Android 4.2 All Bugs Fixed?
Post by: vixel on January 22, 2013, 10:55:12 PM

Hi,

I just both the Nexus 7 and I'm loving it so much.

I heard that there's a lots of bug when upgrading to 4.2.
Especially with Bluetooth.

I would like to inquire if all the bugs have been fixed?
Is it advisable now to update to 4.2?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Vixel

I've never had any issue with 4.2,  Bluetooth  works perfectly. :) who told you that 4.2 has issues? ;)

If Bluetooth is important to you don't upgrade. 4.2.2 is just around the corner and is solely meant to fix the Bluetooth issue.

I still have BT issues as well but it isn't just isolated to the new update. Some folks have the issue with other versions of Android as well. Some are perfectly fine. I have a phone with ICS and it has the same Bluetooth stutter symptoms.

Many people have not experienced any issues with Bluetooth. The root of the issues is still to be determined, but we know that 4.2 was a factor.

The only real issue I'm having, is accelerated battery drain if WiFi is on.

Not a lot of help when you're using it though.

No but it conserves battery when your N7 is sleeping and every little helps.

Besides more drain with WiFi on compared to off is normal??

What exactly do you mean by accelerated battery drain? Can you give us some stats or figures?

Subjectively, it just seems to use the battery up far more quickly when Wi-Fi is on than any of my other droid devices have.
Objectively, the drain (about 10% per hour) seems on par for about 9hrs use.

I think I got spoiled by my last 7" tablet that would go for 4-5 days of general use before charging rather than one day. It was however a single core 600mhz beastie with a huge battery.

4 or 5 days of general use? I don't know what you mean by that but did it have a nuclear reactor? Lol.

You open the back and 3/4 of the space is battery...
Weighs about double the N7 too.
