Title: Folder - Visible in ASTRO file manager but invisible in Windows 7
Post by: steveclecy on February 01, 2013, 01:34:50 AM
I want to drop some POI data into my CoPilot "Save" folder but cannot even find the general CoPilot folder when it is connected to my computer as a media device.

It is there in ASTRO file manager but simply not visible in Windows 7 Explorer.

Any ideas how I can make it visible?

Steve

The perils of MTP (Media Transfer Protocol)...

You could try with a Cloud storage account or something like AirDroid.

Rooting your Nexus 7 is another option or you could get an OTG cable and copy the files to a USB drive and then copy them to your Nexus 7.

I set a number of folders to share on my win7 box. Then with es file explorer I can access them thru the wifi. Music, vids, docs etc. My own personal cloud storage at 54mbs.

Thank you people!

Used the OTG cable with a USB pen drive loaded with the POIs, and used Nexus Media Importer set to "Advanced".  Able to open the required folders and simply by touching the POI file and associated BMP file, able to copy across to the CoPilot Save folder.  At each transfer, reopened CoPilot which led me through the install.

All the POIs now installed.

Thanks once again.  Don't you love Forums where everyone is so helpful and friendly?
