i am tryin to root i am using the nexus root toolkit but i cant install drivers . i have uninstalled according to the tool kit directions . so why is it that if i plug my nexus 7 into my computer in device manager at the very top it say Android device/ andoid composite ADB Interface . isnt that supposed to be deleted and show up when i have a driver installed . and under portable devices is my nexus 7 , witch is correct. so can that be why i cannot install the drivers to root ? i had all the steps done that the rookit said i should but i forgot to check mark the recovery at the and . what can i do now

The toolkit 1.6.2 does not work with Android version 4.2.2. It requires new fastboot and adb drivers. They are available here (http://"goo.im/devs/WugFresh/NexusRootToolkit/new_adb_and_fastboot.zip")
Download that zip and extract/unzip its contents into the toolkits/data directory and agree to overwrite those files, then proceed to use “Any Build” mode to root.
The tool kit uses scripts to execute adb and fastboot commands. Without the updated drivers, rooting isn't going to happen.

Worst comes to worst add recovery after... The page opens fine for me with Chrome and starts the d/l automatically.. If you have questions ask. Cmon let's pick it up.
