Title: Latest Nexus Development
Post by: Katie on February 23, 2013, 01:53:57 PM
It's a long story, but I ended up restoring the factory settings on my new Nexus 7. I had nothing on there to lose, really. Now, I cannot authenticate, although the wireless connection is very strong. Anyone know what's going on?

I would forget the connection and then reinstall it.

Try rebooting the nex7. (Hold power button, click power off, hold power til it boots)
Then try forgetting and readding the router.
If that fails, you can try wps (wifi protected setup) in the router settings. The wifi settings will give you a wps pin to input into the router.

From the Home screen swipe down from the top right side of the screen - Tap "Settings" - Make Sure WiFi is turned ON - Tap on the name of you WiFi Connection - Tap Forget - Select your WiFi from the available list - Enter your password - Tap "Connect" and it should authenticate and connect.
