Title: Turning off updates when tethered
Post by: steveclecy on February 26, 2013, 01:53:04 PM
Is there a simple way (or app) to turn off updating when tethered to a mobile?  When I was tethering it used up far too much of my data allowance going through a load of app updates.

I would Uncheck auto updates in the playstore settings

What mobile device are you using? If it's an Android device there is a way to limit data sync when tethered.

Settings> Data Usage> Menu (three dots,  top right)> Mobile hotspots> Tick any hotshots you want to limit data for.
