I dropped my Nexus and now it won't turn on. What can I do? Is it dead?
-
Did you really drop it or was Android frustrating you so much you through it?
Joking... :-X
Did you insure it? I would pop the back off and see if the battery is disconnected...

No, I didn't get the extra insurance. I've never needed it in the past. I just dropped it from waist level, onto the kitchen floor. I'm afraid to take the back off. I've had it for less than a month. I should've sold it to the guy who offered me $150 the other day and just taken the loss.

OMG, I fixed it! I carefully pried the back off, and checked the battery connection. It HAD comes lose, so I plugged it back in. Ta-da!

It never would've occurred to me to check the battery connection. Thanks for the suggestion.

Glad you go it working.
It's weird how we all think differently. I would have automatically opened the back and checked the connections and it probably wouldn't occur to me to post on a forum about it!

Lol I wouldn't have opened the back

Normally I wouldn't either. It has never occurred to me to open the back of my iPad. But, I was desperate and it came off quite easily. The battery connector thingie was loose, so I pushed it back in and the N7 fired right back up.
It was a little scary, though.
