Title: Where is the page indicator?
Post by: nexusNovice on March 01, 2013, 12:29:44 PM
Where is the page indicator in the nexus 7?
I mean the series of dots, often on the top that tell you which page screen you are now on--like I have on my android phone.
Even when I tried other launchers the page indicators do not appear.
Is it something I am doing or a peculiarity of 4.2.2?

Thank you.

I've never seen it. Your phone is probably running Android 2.3, while the N7s are running Android 4+.There's where the difference likely lies.

I'm not the lowest of the low, but I am the slowest of the slow (49.6 mpg over 38k miles in  Scion xB)

That's correct. My phone is running 2.3.4
It's a nice feature. Why would they have removed it?  Is it unnecessary in 4?

If you look at the thin white line above your favorites tray there will be a section of it that is blue as you swipe across your screens. That is the screen page indicator I believe that you are looking for instead of the dots you described on your phone. That is the only page indicator I know of. Hope this helps.

thank you so much!
It is so subtle that I had not noticed it. It will do it for me.
Appreciated.
