Title: Plan for n7 and plan for phone?
Post by: nexusNovice on March 03, 2013, 02:30:39 PM
I am curious how others are handling this.

Do most users of n7 3G, pay for a second data plan for the n7 in addition to the one they have for their phone or is there a plan that will permit you to use both on the same data plan?

I am hooked on 3/4G and since my Nexus 7 3G, has it's own number... I have added it's own tablet 5-10$ plan to my phone plan. I use GO SMS Pro (it's FREE!) to send and receive texts to that number.
To make sure that I don't waste my data, I have the data turned off until I want to use it.
My provider (Telus) doesn't have the greatest tablet plans (in fact it's pretty lame!) but maybe they will introduce better. I've found out that the data sharing with your phone data, is not really useful for me. ::)

I have Cox high speed Internet at home. Just discovered that Cox has introduced CoxWifi hotspots in northern Virginia. They are not protected but they are free to Cox Internet subscribers. So that's a help.

I also tether to my phone occasionally but I risk having my phone carrier cancel me because they don't like that.
