Is it just me or is the quick menu hit and miss in JB?

On my other tab (with ICS) the drop down menu always opens when I touch the task bar.  On the N7 I have to hit it just right to get it to open.  Of course, the shorter clock status menu drops, just not the larger one.

Anybody else experience this?

Mine seems fine as long as I'm doing it towards the middle of the screen and not the edges.

By middle, do you mean the middle of the black task bar on top or can you bring it up another way?   Thanks

Oh wow, I feel a little dumb right now.  On ICS you just tap and the menu pops up.  On JB you have to press and slide down for the menu, got it....thanks  ::)
