Title: Remember Keyboard Settings
Post by: gmxusa on March 15, 2013, 02:12:33 PM
I use a keyboard with Nexus 7 and my keyboard has a numpad. Suppose I turn on "Num Lock" on the keyboard. If I disconnect the keyboard and connect it again, the "Num Lock" will be turned off. Since I frequently use numpad, after connecting the keyboard, I need to manually turn on "Num Lock".

After "Num Lock" is on, if I disconnect the keyboard and connect it again, "Num Lock" will be turned off. So I will need again and again to manually turn on "Num Lock". How can I make Nexus 7 remember keyboard settings, such as "whether Caps Lock is on/off" and "whether Numlock is on/off"? Thanks.

Unless there is an app that works with your keyboard, believe when you unplug hardware you are going to have to redo the steps.

There is a method, but it requires root and some heavy knowledge of Android. There is a profile saved for input devices. Each profile is unique to the device, manufacturer, and revision of the input device. The profile has to be edited.
