Being still a novice, I have some questions about updating my rooted N7.
As far as I can see, there are no big issues with the new update.
4.2.2 OTA update is downloaded to N7 but not installed. Voodoo Rootkeeper is installed. Titanium Pro Backup is updated.
My questions: Before installing the update, should I turn off USB Debugging?
In Rootkeeper v.200.3 ,should I tap on: "Temp. Un-root (keeps backup)"?
Rootkeeper v.2.0.3 has been checked :
Superuser app installed / Device rooted./ Root permission granted. / System supports root protection. / Protected su copy available.
Am I correct in turning off temporarily USB debugging?
Tap on "Temp un-root to keep backup in Rootkeeper?
Install v. 4.2.2 and then reboot? Then I will have to tap "yes" on "Disable Flash Recovery" and "yes" to Fix Root System.
At the end check for the new update in Settings.
This is such a helpful forum and I thank you in advance for any suggestions you might have.

As long as OTA has a copy of SU there is no need to temp unroot. That will happen automatically when you update. After the update use Ota to install the backed up copy of SU.
I don't think debugging makes a difference but turning off can't hurt. I think I keep mine on.

The update went flawlessly. Thank you both!!
I have read the guide to installing with root before I posted my question. The instructions are very easy to understand. Thank you, S.Prime.
Since this was my first update while being rooted, I had the additional questions. Thank you, bjs299 for setting my mind at ease. It was a great help to me.
I love my Nexus and I'm very grateful to this forum!
