Title: Error 920 message on Factory Reset....
Post by: tfman on March 22, 2013, 05:28:56 PM
Doing a factory reset on my six month old Nexus 7.

All goes fine till restoring my Apps from my google account. After two
thirds of my 140 Apps it just gives "cannot download due to error 920"
message. From this point cannot manually download from google play
or update apps, that to gets the error 920 message.

I have tried switching off wifi, forcing close of google services app and
clearing data. Have done factory reset three times in a row but this
always happens at about same point.

You guys helped me with a reset four months ago and went perfect. Is
this an android update issue or something.

I am stumped and my vital SKY GO apps is one of the missing ones.

Any advice please?

Look here. (http://lifehacker.com/5714300/how-to-fix-installation-unsuccessful-errors-in-the-android-market)  I'm rooted, and use Titanium Backup rather than relying on Google to restore my apps.

After a lot of trial and error I finally solved the
error 920 problem.

Eventually found command "Reset App Preferences" in
Apps in Settings menu.

After that everything was normal and the N7 was
back to it's speedy best.

Great fun looking back and I have learned a lot on
the journey.
