Title: Adding items to nexus 7 lockscreen
Post by: engineer on April 06, 2013, 02:19:34 PM
I know about the  "+"  on the lockscreen that allows you to add widgets to the 4.2.2 nexus 7 lockscreen. But the available selection is a limited one. Is it possible to increase the available choices and add widgets that are not currently on the default available list?

There are few apps available on the Play store that allow them to be added to the Lockscreen but applications are being regularly updated and thus included.

Apps I use, that include Lockscreen widget...

Battery Widget Reborn
Dash Clock
Elixir 2
Eye in the Sky
Falcon Pro
Google Keep
Missed It
Simple Dialer Widget

Thank you. That is useful.

It seems however that the lockscreen can only accommodate one widget per screen because they can't be resized, which is unfortunate. Unless I have not discovered how to resize them in the lockscreen.

That is why I have been using widget locker till now even in android 4.2.2. With widget locker I can resize the widgets and therefore place several (BeWeather + clock +...) on the same main lockscreen which I find more convenient.

Thanks again for replying.

Yes you are right, only one widget per screen even if the widget is 1x1 on the homescreen and there isn't anyway to resize them on the lockscreen.
Personally I use the stock lockscreen, I'm not a fan of Widgetlocker but that's the beauty of Android, customization...
