Title: Cannot mark web pages for mobile bookmarks
Post by: bronxcat on April 06, 2013, 04:53:27 PM
When I first got my Nexus7 last year, pages that I was viewing that I wanted to add to my bookmarks were automatically added to my mobile bookmarks, which is where I want them. Then I made the mistake of syncing my desktop bookmarks with my Nexus7 and now no matter what I've tried (including calling Nexus for so-called help) I can't get my mobile bookmarks to appear as a choice when I want to bookmark something. It will only let me choose one of my desktop bookmark folders.

Help! And thanks.

Addendum... I just unsynced everything--not just the bookmarks--and now it's saving to the mobile bookmarks again. Perhaps this is the only way to remedy this?

Are you using the Chrome browser? If so, touch the word "Bookmarks" to the left of your Desktop Bookmarks or Mobile Bookmarks near the top of the page. That takes you to the root of your bookmarks tree.

I'm not the lowest of the low, but I am the slowest of the slow (49.5 mpg over 42k miles in  Scion xB)

When you press the star in Chrome to save a bookmark you should see this screen...

Tap the bottom option "In" at the bottom to change the bookmark save folder and this screen will appear...

Select the folder you want the bookmark saved in and tap OK.
