Post by: Babyfacemagee on June 27, 2012, 09:44:01 PM
Do You Plan On Buying The Nexus 7 Tablet?  If so, which version?  8GB or 16GB?   If not, tell us why in the comments.

I just picked up an ipad 1 for $200, lots more apps, see Thomas The Train Engine interactive apps, nothing like that for the Android.

They actually have this Thomas Game Pack for Android.  https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hitentertainment.thomas&feature=related_apps#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEwOSwiY29tLmhpdGVudGVydGFpbm1lbnQudGhvbWFzI.

The Android app system is growing fast and they have TONS of interactive apps.  Just gotta look.   It's not as many as the iPad...yet.  But it's actually growing at a faster pace.

the poll ask about nexus 7 nothing to do with the iPad, your iPad is in the league of my elocity A7, the nexus is on par with the iPad 3 and above iPad 2 in my opinion..

I would tend to agree.  This thing will be a Fire killer, and it will surprise me if it doesn't put a serious dent in the iPad sales also.  It doesn't seem like much of a compromise compared to the iPad3.  I have a good friend that owns an iPad3, so will have a chance to do a good head to head comparison. (assuming they ever ship the thing)

Pre ordered the 16gb.

Just sold my new ipad retina.

I dont think its in the same ball park as the ipad. And i think google has done that on purpose, clever!

It will blow amazon out of the water though!

I went with the 16 gig model. If you decide to root and install CWM for a nandroid backup, the backup is saved to the internal memory which is shown as \sdcard.

I've ordered the 16gb. I've had ipads before but I find them to be too big to be held comfortably in my hand for lengthy periods. I've had a kindle ereader for a while and I am assuming that the Nexus 7 will have a similar feel although slightly heavier and will be comfortable to hold for long periods while reading.

Yeah, there is a 2 ounce weight difference.  But how much does the Kindle weigh when you have dozens of books loaded in there?   :P   ;)

A little less than my Nexus will with 1000's of books on it ;-)

Pre-ordered 8G. Better size (for me) than iPad, small light and compact for holiday travel. Seems like the first Android tablet with REAL features and performance. Looks like a steal at the price.
