TapaTalk 4 Private Beta
If you have purchased Tapatalk HD from the Play Store Here (https://play.google.com/store/search?q=tapatalk+hd) and have registered as a TapaTalk User with HD (Note this is a different registration than a TapaTalk forum member, but you may elect to use the same email and password that you used as a forum member), then you are eligible to install and activate the private beta. You may also participate if you have VIP status showing in TapaTalk 2.

The download link for the private beta can be found Here (http://support.tapatalk.com/index.php?posts/94063) at the TapaTalk Forum and there is a promised Public Beta due sometime in May.
Information
From the information, that I have seen on the TapaTalk forum TapaTalk 4 will unify the TapaTalk program into one version for phones and tablets running Android 4.0 and above. We do not have any pricing information, at this time, but my guess is that TapaTalk will be a free upgrade from TapaTalk HD and paid from TapaTalk 2. The private beta is far from complete, but it looks very promising and I like the direction that the new version is headed.
Work Around
If you can't wait to get your hands on the beta and don't want to purchase TapaTalk HD to participate, I have seen some users take the route where they purchase HD, registered, and then return it to Google Play within the 15 minute grace period. You would be able to try out the beta, but obviously you would not qualify for the free upgrade, if and when it is made available.

How do I register for VIP status? I own Tapatalk 2 and HD but I don't have VIP status?

Make sure that you setup your TapaTalk ID with the same email address that you use on Google Play to purchased TapaTalk HD, then logout out of TapaTalk in the HD version and log back in, then "VIP" should show following the email address that represents your TapaTalk ID. Notably, "VIP" should show in TapaTalk 2 if you follow the same procedure. I have seen complaints that users did not receive "VIP" status, but those issues may relate to email addresses failing to match in their Google Play and TapaTalk ID. Remember the TapaTalk ID that you generate retains your joined forum information, but not the password, so that when you logout of TapaTalk or install it on a new device, TapaTalk uses your ID to automatically populate your joined forums.

Thanks Prime but I signed up for Tapatalk ID before Tapatalk HD was released and I'm using my Gmail account as my Tapatalk ID email address, tried Logging out and back in but I still don't have VIP status??
I even PM'd Yao on Tapatalk last month but still haven't received a reply...

I am not sure how I became a VIP. The only way I know I am is by the little VIP icon that shows up when on their forum.

Did you buy HD? VIP also shows next to your email in brackets on Tapatalk HD and a little icon in Tapatalk 2...

Weird. I bought HD but I don't have any VIP status symbols. Come to think of it, I think I have paid for this dagone thing at least twice.

Yeah I've paid twice too...
If you don't have VIP in Tapatalk HD all I did was change my password for Tapatalk ID, logout and back in and voila, VIP status. I then changed my password back to what it was, logged out, back in again and VIP status was still there...
The icon in Tapatalk 2 should be at the top of the screen but if not then again log out and then back in...

I have always attributed VIP status to issues with the Tapatalk ID account. As JayJ has shown and consistent with what I have seen, the key is to trigger the VIP validation at Tapatalk. Although, there appears to be no consistent method to achieve it.
