Title: Nexus 7 won't charge or turn on

I got a Nexus 7 and out of nowhere, I was using it and the screen went black. It wasn't low on battery either.

I plugged it into the charger, nothing
I tried all the button combinations, nothing.

I took the cover off and removed and put the battery cable in a couple seconds later. Still won't charge or turn on.

Is there anything else? It's so odd that it just quits like that.

Also, Asus has been a pain for support. They are taking days to try and get a waybill to me.

Have you held the power button down for 30 seconds while the unit is plugged in?

I have a similar 'brick' ... didn't use for two weeks, battery had gone to zero.  Now it won't charge, won't turn on when plugged in.

jimburn88 How long have you left it plugged in to charge, if the cells are severely depleted it can take some time to change...

I encountered similar problem when the N7 battery was completely empty. I plugged it in for more than 24 hours for a full 100% charge
I used the original power adapter & cable

Would love to know what happened with the OP Pitbuli. Hopefully, your device is working so you can follow up and HELP put some closure to your thread.
