Title: Motorola Xoom owner - hoping to become Nexus 7 owner soon

I have owned a Motorola Xoom for almost 2 years. It was a gift from my son when he went from Xoom to iPad.  I loved the Xoom in the beginning, but it has since become sluggish and laggy, especially when downloading web pages.  I have been reading about the Nexus 7, specifically interested in the LTE 32 GB version.  My son thinks I should stick with the 10" screen and go with the Google Nexus 10. I want the protability of the 7" so I can easily carry it in my purse.  The 10" Xoom is so bulky and heavy to carry in a purse.  I guess I need to decide pretty quickly.  Any suggestions or thoughts on this decision?

No offence to your son as giving you his Xoom was a very nice gesture but you know what you want and I think that's the way to go.

First, welcome to the forum, Betsy. Now, if you want "Drop in your purse convenience" go with the Nexus 7 2013. Sitting on the couch my Nexus 10 is great, but my Nexus 7 is my constant companion.

I own a Xoom and a Nexus 7 and the Xoom has been relegated to its dock in the kitchen.  I  take my Nexus almost everywhere.
