Title: Nandroid backup
Post by: nexusNovice on August 22, 2013, 06:11:09 PM
Nexus 7.2 (2013), rooted with WUGfresh toolkit, verified root successfully.

Tried to do a Nandroid backup by rebooting into recovery but I get the image of the robot with a red triangle on his belly.

Tried the same thing using rom toolbox and get the same red triangle on robot.

What does it mean and how do I get to do a Nandroid backup?

Thanks

You need to install a custom recovery like Clockworkmod or TWRP using Wugfresh's toolkit.

Yes as bird said you have no custom recovery which is needed to perform a nandroid backup.

thank you both.

I had assumed that was automatically done when WUGfresh rooted me. But I guess not.

You have to tick the box below the root option for a custom recovery to be installed permanently and select whether you want CWM or TWRP in the settings of the toolkit.
