Title: Going to sleep in a case
Post by: Longcove on August 29, 2013, 09:26:29 AM: Hi: Interesting discovery. I bought a case for my shiny new Nexus 7. When I closed the cover the tablet went to sleep.
I suppose everyone on the forum knows about this feature but I've never seen it mentioned in advertizing for the tablet or for the case.
The case is a hipstreet Portfolio Slim and it works quite well. I bought it for it was the only case available locally and not after careful research!
Does a nexus 7 also make coffee if you press the right button? ;)

Actually you can use the Nexus as a tray for your coffee cup and there is room for a chocolate biscuit ( I think that is cookie in North America). It stops marking your desk. 0:-)

Post by: matt on August 29, 2013, 01:54:23 PM: Well, yes, there is a magnet in the case. My coffee machine has a timer and a ups to keep it going in power outages. I miss using the DVD tray/cup holder on my computer.

Unfortunately, it may be a while before I can do any serious work on it. I've still got to finish the Tiny Monocle (my answer to Google Glass).
